This was the first entry of the newly formed SORE group and I must say it was a great start! The pork was done to perfection and melted in the mouth. The barbecue sauce added to the experience, but was a nice addition. She also included ripple cut chips, sliced pickle ovals, pasta salad and potato salad. All which made me feel like I was at a backyard get together. The only thing missing was an Adirondack chair and a couple of cold beers. I give a big thumbs up for a great effort and tasty execution. Well done!
Today marks the official launch of SORE. Special Ops Recreational Eating (S.O.R.E) is an exclusive group of Pedigree Technologies co-workers savoring the culinary creations of each member. The commencement of SORE began with Kristen Kerber providing the members with a full lunch including slow cooked pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, potato chips, and fixings. Kristen displayed true expertise in perfecting her pulled pork recipe and one could hear the immediate taste bud satisfaction of each member. Many went back to the table for second helpings of sandwiches and salads. Leading with the pulled pork sandwich; the pork was tender, moist, and flavorful throughout each bite. Buns, BBQ sauce, ketchup, pickles, etc were provided to top the pulled pork to satisfy the individual tastes of each member. This special consideration to the various palates was an unexpected, but appreciated touch. Pared with the salads and chips, I felt Kristen paid particular attention creating an atmosphere of summer. The smells and tests reminded me of a summer picnic with good friends. Thank you Kristen for a wonderful meal and kick-off to SORE!

ReplyDeleteWith the first meal of the SORE group, Kristen set the bar fairly high. Pork was flavorful and not dry and seasoned well. I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThe additions of chips and salads gave the meal a picnic/backyard neighborhood grill feel.
